Road Rattlesnake - "Hard To Port! Full Rudder!"

Close to flat rattler. I testify clear view of coloring and enough glimpse of a knotty tail to say it wasn't a Bull Snake but a Prairie Rattlesnake. Lots of sightings in that area, too. So far I've managed not to flatten any but despite this big one catching eye pretty quickly, it would be easy to run over at the last minute as this shows a panicked, Which Way To Run? confusion. As you'd expect for a creature so low to the ground, relying mostly on smell, movement ... and vibration; the latter of which, I bet, was beyond its experience.
