Preserving Peaches with Canning and Freezing Techniques, Inspirational Thought

We will enjoy peaches in the winter months because of work we did this week. We shared childhood memories during the preservation project and also in the Golden Thought of Inspiration. We soaked the peach dices in lemon water for 3 minutes, then drained them before putting them on a tray to flash freeze. They were in the freezer about 3 hours before we bagged them up. For the canning we used white grape juice or white grape peach juice as a sweetener so there were no added sugars. We did dilute the white grape peach juice with water at a ratio of 3:1. The peaches were canned using the water bath method.
