He wasn’t wealthy, and he didn’t hold a position of great power, but he was respected by everyone in the village. "You honor me," he said, "but remember, a teacher’s true reward is not in the praises they receive, but in the success and kindness of their students. If you continue to live with the values you’ve learned, that is the greatest gift you can give."
