"There is no question I am in favor of banning fracking, starting with what we can do on day one." - Kamala Harris called for a fracking ban while campaigning for the Democratic nomination during a CNN interview.

For decades, the natural gas industry has attracted new industries, lowered energy costs, and reduced emissions across Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is the United States' second-largest producer of natural gas and provides 20% of all the natural gas produced in the nation.

The natural gas industry supports over 123,000 good-paying, family-sustaining jobs, generated $41 billion in just one year of economic activity, and paid over $6 billion in royalties to public and private landowners.

The natural gas industry benefits the environment. The increased use of natural gas in the state's electric power sector has driven down power sector emissions; those emissions are now 46% lower than they were in 2005.

When the natural gas sector thrives, so do the people of Pennsylvania.

Since 2012, the industry has generated over $2.7 billion in impact fees that directly support infrastructure, community development, and emergency projects across the state.

90% of the natural gas production in Pennsylvania comes from fracking. Abandoning fracking means the death of the natural gas industry in Pennsylvania.
