Ernesto Padilla's father was Cuban poet Heberto Padilla who was famously imprisoned for criticizing Fidel Castro. His friendship with and reverence for Ernest Hemingway led Heberto to name his son Ernesto in honor of Hemingway. La Pilar was the name of Hemingway's fishing boat which was central to many of his famous hard-drinking, cigar smoking, and fishing exploits. So it's with that in mind that Padilla crafted his La Pilar....to make it his finest blend and fitting tribute.

91-rated blend comes in 4 ring sizes with hellacious savings here! Flavor and balanced complexity abound with this sublime cigar. La Pillar is dressed in an oily, chestnut brown Corojo wrapper with a nice amber hue. The long-filler recipe is composed of Habano-seed Nica & Dominican Corojo tobaccos. Well calibrated, complex, medium to full in body.
