Shine a Light on Dementia Care with Dorothee Gevers

Dorothee is a South African-born Occupational Therapist with many years of experience in adult mental health and in childhood learning difficulties. After immigrating to Perth WA in 2006, she moved into the field of Aged Care and Dementia Care. She has a great love for and dedication to all those experiencing Dementia and has contributed to their care in creative ways.

Dorothee has made connections with various Dementia support groups worldwide that promote a revolutionary and inspirational care for this illness.

We welcomed Dorothee to speak to us on Wednesday 4 September and what followed was a very insightful conversation into Dementia care where Dorothee shared her stories and the different options she found made a difference in Dementia patients lives and in the lives of their carers.
