SYNOPSIS
In this film, the plot follows a familiar pattern from Robert Emmett Tansey's works, where bad characters are used by the good to catch worse ones. The warden of Desert Wells Penitentiary enlists Tex Reed and Slim to investigate a series of bank robberies committed by escaped convicts. Lockwood, tied to an opposing political group, orchestrates the escapes and robberies, with Red, a convict, handling the escapes. Tex pursues the next escapee but the gang kills him before Tex can interrogate him. Meanwhile, Jimmy, Mary's brother and Tex's girlfriend, is manipulated by the gang to rob a bank, setting him up to be shot by Carter for a reward. Although Jimmy is wounded, Tex arrests him for protection. To eliminate Tex, the gang sends Red disguised as a guard with a fake message from the warden.
