Brazil BANNED X!

As part of this week's episode of "This week in social media", I reported that Elon Musk's X ( formerly Twitter) got banned in Brazil, for failing to remove to set of anti-government accounts.

X refused their request as well closing down the X's HQ within Brazil and evacuating all of the staff. Leaving Elon open to legal challenges, as under state law, X needs to have a legal representative within the country.

So by Elon closing the HQ and evacuating his staff, he gave the Brazil counts a open line to ban the platform.

There has also been large fines, threaten for anyone within Brazil who is found to be using a VPN to still use the platform.
