On August 11, 2024, Israel's Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, called for “evacuating” the Palestinian refugee camp in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, and “handling it similarly” to the Gaza Strip.

"The refugee camps are the epicenter of evil,” Katz declared. “They are not under the control of the Palestinian Authority, but under the control of Iran.”

Two weeks after Katz's genocidal warning, Israel's military launched a massive incursion into the West Bank. It laid siege to Jenin and other Palestinian refugee camps and swiftly inflicted massive destruction on civilian infrastructure there.

On September 1, Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Beirut-based, geopolitical analyst Laith Marouf about the expansion of Israel's genocidal war on Palestinians. Marouf and Lascaris also discussed the worsening suppression of dissent in the West, and the recent publication of photographs of the victims of the U.S. military's massacre in Haditha, Iraq on November 19, 2005.
