Gold Star Father Mark Schmitz Condemns Kamala Harris for Disrespecting Families of Fallen Marines

Mark Schmitz, the Gold Star father of Marine Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz, expressed his outrage in a heartfelt statement over the weekend, condemning Vice President Kamala Harris for a social media post he described as "heinous, vile, and disgusting." Schmitz, who lost his son in service to the country, criticized Harris for attempting to portray former President Donald Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery as a political stunt.

Schmitz clarified that the 13 families of the fallen Marines had personally invited Trump to be present at Arlington, emphasizing that their request was not politically motivated but driven by their desire for genuine leadership. "We wanted a leader. That explains why you and Joe didn't get a call," Schmitz stated, directly addressing Harris and President Joe Biden. He contrasted Trump’s willingness to support and listen to the grieving families with what he sees as a complete lack of empathy and action from the current administration.

The Gold Star father highlighted the frustration felt by the families, noting that they have been waiting over three years for acknowledgment from the Biden administration. "You have 13 families who have been waiting over 3 years to so much as get a phone call," Schmitz said, criticizing Harris and Biden for their failure to recognize the sacrifices made by their children.

Schmitz ended his powerful statement by calling for Americans to vote Harris out of office, accusing her of betraying the military and their families. "You have spit in our face for the last time," he declared, urging the nation to demand better leadership and respect for those who have served.
