Putin arrived in Mongolia

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on an official visit to Mongolia on Monday, where he will take part in events dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet and Mongolian armed forces over Japanese troops on the Khalkhin Gol River.

Negotiations between the leaders of Russia and Mongolia in narrow and expanded formats are planned during the visit, the Kremlin's press service reported earlier. During the meetings, the heads of state will discuss current international and regional issues, as well as prospects for further development of bilateral relations in line with strategic partnership. A number of bilateral documents are expected to be signed following the talks.

Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Khurelsukh invited Vladimir Putin to visit Mongolia in October 2023 during talks in China. Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation visited Mongolia in 2019.
