Riding Through the Appalachian Mountains at Night

This 170 mile trip was beautiful. My camera doesn't do well with dark areas, so I was unable to capture some of the amazing details, such as the nearby mountains covered with mist barely visible in the dark, the cloudy night sky reflecting off the Potomac River as I traveled next to it, the locomotive headlights about a mile up going through the night fog, etc. This route would be way more scenic in the day, but doing it at night was so peaceful and nice. Probably one of my favorite train trips.
