System that generates free electricity using a waterwheel / System Hydro Energii / Rzeczny

A Canadian company called Nering Industries has come up with an ingenious idea to generate free electricity.

It uses a giant wheel that turns water into energy, and it’s enough to power an entire house.Watch these guys transform a bike into a four-wheeler with REAPER wheels

The project began with what’s known as the ‘Poncelet’ wheel, a giant waterwheel (3 meter diameter) connected to an equally sizeable arm made of iron.

When the wheel is in the water, the river flow keeps it in motion, generating energy in the process.

The wheel can produce up to 7.5 kW of power, enough to feed the generator that keeps the lights on in the house, and it operates at 50 RPM.

Even though the electricity it generates is technically free, you still have to factor in the cost of the wheel and maintenance.

Even so, it sounds like a good idea, doesn’t it?
