The opening of book I've read a few times. It always has struck this time of year. In the past I had attempted to do a video reading - I wasn't satisfied with the result.

Since that time, several years ago, our escalating political, economic, foreign adventurism, and social pressure-cooker has hit a point which looks to many as something about to collapse.

It's a fitting description; we're inundated with infrastructure failures whether failed rails, falling aircraft, pile-up crash automobiles, power stations shorting out, bridges collapsing, food processing plants exploding. If you've never read this book, I'd encourage you read it as your autumn selection.
