Mourning events begin for victims of the 2004 Beslan terrorist attack

Mourning events lasting three days have begun in Beslan to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack.

On September 1, 2004, a group of terrorists seized a school in Beslan, taking more than 1,100 hostages, most of whom were schoolchildren. The attack claimed the lives of 334 people.
