Hezbollah's response exposes 'Israel's' vulnerabilities

On August 25, "Israel's" claims of a "preemptive attack," thwarting a major Hezbollah attack were exposed as sheer lies. In the aftermath of the assassination of senior commander Fouad Shokor, as well as the killing of seven civilians and Iranian advisor Milad Bidi, Hezbollah targeted the depth of the occupied Palestinian territories, close to Tel Aviv.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon launched 340 Katyusha rockets, not the "some 210 rockets and 20 drones" claimed by Israeli military sources, as part of a meticulously planned operation targeting key Israeli military sites, including the Glilot base and the Ein Shemer air base near Tel Aviv.

Despite "Israel's" claims of striking “thousands of Hezbollah’s rocket launchers… by some 100 IAF fighter jets in the preemptive attacks,” Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that the Resistance had no intention of using such weapons in this operation. Moreover, Sayyed Hassan revealed that only two rocket launchers were struck, but only after the operation was already completed.

Keeping “Israel” on its toes, Sayyed Hassan affirmed, “If the outcome is satisfactory and achieved the intended goal, we will consider the retaliatory operation complete, but if the results are not sufficient [as per the Resistance’s terms], we reserve the right to respond at a time of our choosing.”

Operation Arbaeen's message was clear: Hezbollah not only reinstated the old rules of engagement that “Israel” crossed in its aggression on the Southern Suburb of Beirut but also instated new ones.
