In this fast tutorial, I’ll show you how I added a realistic dust effect to a Nintendo Game Boy model using Substance Painter.

While following a 3D modeling course, I ran into a small challenge with the Dust Surface smart mask, so I decided to take matters into my own hands—literally! I used my tablet to manually brush off the dust in specific areas, making the effect look much more natural and true to life.

If you’re into 3D modeling or just love retro gaming, this tip is for you! Plus, I’ll share the course I’m following so you can learn more and improve your skills.
