Total War, Or Reason: Which Road Will We Take?

We are heading straight towards a nuclear calamity on the planet. NATO’s decision to use a fatigued, demoralized Ukrainian army as an invasion force directly into internationally recognized Russian territory now threatens to provoke a nuclear incident. That incident may come in various forms, whether it’s a successful drone attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant, or perhaps a preemptive ‘dirty bomb’ by NATO forces to avert an inevitable defeat of their collapsing unipolar order. The conclusion is quite stark, but real: The closer NATO is to defeat in this war, the more likely escalation becomes.

As another symptom of insanity, President Biden signed a modification into the U.S. nuclear doctrine on March of 2024, which discusses preparing for a three-front nuclear exchange with Russia, China, and North Korea. Ted Postol, professor emeritus of Science, Technology, and International Security at MIT, has noted in a recently published article, “Biden's 'New' Nuclear Strategy And The Super-Fuse That Sets It Off,” that in the face of the new aggressive nuclear strategy, “Chinese and Russian leaders will have no choice but to implement countermeasures that further increase the already dangerously high readiness of their nuclear forces. This includes intensified worst-case planning that will increase the chances of nuclear responses to false warnings of attack.”

In fact, the Russians have already developed Poseidon robot submarines which can carry 100-megaton warheads into the harbors of the United States and Europe, not to mention the Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missiles, which have superseded current U.S. nuclear weapons capabilities.

There is, however, a different reality emerging which informed, thinking citizens of the West can use to their advantage in declaring independence to the general insanity which prevails in today’s top policy centers and government institutions. The new economic order now forming in the Global South, with the BRICS+, SCO, and other Eurasian institutions underpinning its development, China’s Belt and Road Initiative which has over 150 nations, and Schiller Institute Chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s Ten Principles and call for a new security and development architecture to replace geopolitics, all represent the shift that thinking citizens must make now, if we are to survive September, October, and November.
