Here's a simple and delicious Campfire Cobbler recipe that you can make while enjoying the great outdoors:

Ingredients:
2 cans of pie filling (21 oz each; cherry, peach, or apple work well)
1 box of yellow or white cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 stick of unsalted butter (1/2 cup), cut into small pieces
Optional: Cinnamon, brown sugar, or nuts for extra flavor
Equipment:
Dutch oven (recommended size: 10-12 inches)
Aluminum foil (if you want easier cleanup)
Charcoal or a campfire with hot coals
Instructions:
Prepare the Dutch oven: Line the Dutch oven with aluminum foil for easier cleanup (optional).

Add the filling: Pour the cans of pie filling into the bottom of the Dutch oven and spread it out evenly.

Add the cake mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the pie filling. Do not stir it in.

Add the butter: Scatter the pieces of butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.

Add optional toppings: If desired, sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar, or nuts on top for extra flavor.

Cook: Cover the Dutch oven with its lid. Place it over hot coals and add additional hot coals on top of the lid to ensure even cooking. Cook for 30-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Tip: Check the cobbler after about 20 minutes to make sure it’s cooking evenly. You can rotate the Dutch oven or add/remove coals as needed.
Serve: Carefully remove the Dutch oven from the heat, let it cool slightly, and serve warm. It’s great on its own or with a scoop of ice cream if you have it!

This Campfire Cobbler is perfect for camping trips, as it's easy to prepare and requires minimal ingredients!
