The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 5

The sermon on the mount Jesus speaks to the crowd that no one will find peace and happiness in this world or the next that do not seek it from Him. He teaches that evil should be despised. Jesus gives examples of eight characters of who are blessed; He exhortations and warnings; He confirms God’s holy law; He showed the full meaning of the Third, Sixth and Seventh Commandment; the law of retaliation, and love.
