Matthew 12:1-50
In this 12th chapter of Matthew, Jesus Christ shows that He is the Son of God, which is more important and greater than the Sabbath, the prophets, or King Solomon. Hallelujah!
The story in this chapter shows that the Sabbath is for honoring God and doing His will, just as religious rules and rituals are for honoring God and doing His will. Brothers and sisters, please be careful not to make the same mistake as the Pharisees who worshipped rules and neglected God's will, which is for all brothers and sisters to love one another and do good to others at all times.
The words of Jesus Christ are truer than the proclamation of Jonah and wiser than the words of King Solomon. My beloved brothers and sisters, you should listen and repent, so that my brothers and sisters can be saved. We should listen carefully and consider it to find the wisdom from heaven.
How can we apply Matthew 12 to our current life? Let's ask God for wisdom at this time to learn and grow together. Don't forget that "doing the will of God is the heart of living a Christian life."
✝️✝️ In Matthew 12, Jesus Christ performed His work with the authority that the Father gave Him. Those who believe in that authority will receive salvation from Him, but those who despise that authority will be judged. For the Pharisees, following the rules and regulations was the most important thing. But Jesus Christ taught that doing what God wills is the most important thing. Today, we are just good Christians or brothers and sisters who do the will of God.
✝️✝️ Jesus Christ spoke and healed to let people know that Jesus Christ is greater than all the rules set for man, including the Sabbath, because He is God. But when the Pharisees saw the miracles that Jesus Christ did, instead of accepting that Jesus Christ was Lord, no...the Pharisees thought of killing Jesus. Because Jesus did not follow the rules that he was proud of, if you look at the event with faith in God's Word, you will see God's greatness and praise God. But if you look at it with disbelief, not only will it not lead to praising God, it may also lead to wrongdoings against God, such as complaining, being dissatisfied, criticizing, cursing, or even blaspheming Him.
✝️✝️ Even though the Pharisees did not accept Jesus Christ and opposed Him, He continued His work because He knew His mission very well. He came to this world to show His mercy to broken and repentant people. The work of Jesus Christ is a manifestation of the Father's character, so that people will know the love and mercy of the Father. Brothers and sisters should let their service be a manifestation of the Father's character for all the people of the world who are related to them to see it as well.
Those who despise the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven because the Holy Spirit will make people repent. Therefore, a heart that rejects the work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts will never repent. When they do not repent, they will not be forgiven. As long as they continue to reject the Holy Spirit. Today!!! If in any area of your life you have not repented, you will never be changed in that area until you yourself repent to God.
✝️✝️ Just as you know a tree by its fruit, you yourself know that what drives and inspires you to do things comes from the Holy Spirit or from the flesh. Brothers and sisters, you can see from the fruits of your own actions that you are full of the fruit of the Spirit, which you can read from:
✝️✝️ Galatians 5:22-24 AMP
[22] But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. [24] And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature together with its passions and appetites.
Or are they filled with the works of the flesh in the Bible?
✝️✝️ Galatians 5:19-21 AMP
[19] Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), [20] idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], [21] envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
In your service to God or doing anything for God today, will the results of your service be reflected in your life, filled with love, joy, peace, or many other things? Or will it be reflected in stress, anxiety, pressure, anxiety, jealousy, strife, division, and many other things?
