Why "Balkanizing" the U.S. Would Serve Little Purpose

I go into detail about why I disagree with Stardusk and others that breaking the U.S. into regional units is a solution to our current ideological woes. At a superficial level, this may seem to be the case, but I don't think it holds up under closer scrutiny for specific reasons.
