Skelethrone - The Chronicles Of Ericona | Underground Dark Fantasy Soulslike

In this episode I showcase an underground Indie Soulslike called Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona. This game is the breakout title by small developer 70`Strike and was published by Valkyrie Initiative, who also worked on several other indie games ive been watching including Carribean Legend and Heads Will Roll.

Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona follows the story of an Derek Ericona, a lord who finds himself newly resurrected as an undead, awakening at the site of a huge massacre. With his memories gone and without the ability to talk, Derek finds himself allied with the last surviving humans, battling a host of monstrous horrors in order to liberate his new allies, recover his lost memories and find redemption.

This game is one of the most surprising titles ive played this year. Whilst the game lacks some of the polish of games from larger development teams it was created by a one person development team which is quite an achievement. The game has made a impression on Soulslike players with its unique art style, responsive controls, wide range of weapons and precise combat. The game also features two difficulty levels with a story mode for beginners and a harder mode for those wanting a true soulslike experience. If your a soulslike enthusiast like myself, this is an excellent budget game made with a ton of passion. I highly recommend it.
