Former President Trump has asked a federal court to intervene in his hush money case, aiming to overturn his conviction and delay his sentencing, scheduled for next month.

Trump’s lawyers argue that the state’s prosecution violated his constitutional rights and conflicts with a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity.

Convicted earlier this year on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to hush money payments, Trump is seeking to move the case to federal court, claiming political bias, The Hill has reported.
