Enhancement inspired by Dave Volsky | Oct. 6, 1991 - Sunday's game saw one of the greatest comebacks in Detroit history as the Lions scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to overcome a 17-point deficit and win the game 24-20. The Vikings jumped out to an early lead, but Quarterback Rodney Peete and the Lions then went to work in the fourth quarter. Peete hit wide receiver Robert Clark on a 68-yard pass with 8:10 remaining. On the ensuing kickoff, Derek Tennell recovered an onside kick. Two-and-a half minutes later, Peete hit wide receiver Willie Green with a 16-yard touchdown pass. The Lions forced a Vikings punt and then drove 72 yards for the winning score. Running back Barry Sanders capped the drive with a 15-yard touchdown scamper with 46 seconds remaining in the game to provide the winning margin. The win coupled with the Chicago Bears loss puts the Lions in first place in the NFC Central Division.
