Calculations of the Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems of the rocket artillery units of the Vostok group of forces struck a column of Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) equipment identified by reconnaissance, advancing in the direction of the line of contact, in the South Donetsk direction of the special military operation.

The destruction of enemy equipment was confirmed by objective control footage from an unmanned aerial vehicle.

The main tasks of the Tornado-G MLRS calculations are fire support for advancing assault units, the destruction of manpower, equipment and other targets identified deep in the enemy's defenses.

"We are helping the infantry to make it easier for them to storm. We work mainly on columns, on manpower, on armored vehicles," said the driver of the infecting combat vehicle with the call sign "Chess Player".

Tornado-G is an upgraded multiple launch rocket system, the main difference from its predecessor MLRS Grad is a more advanced fire control system with satellite navigation and a computer for calculating ballistic indicators, which allows the calculation to perform guidance on the coordinates of the target in automatic mode.

"He has a computer, an automatic guidance and fire control system. You can aim without leaving the car, which makes it easier to work," said the commander of the combat vehicle with the call sign "Koshchey".

Modified shells destroy targets at a distance of up to 40 kilometers, but the gunners try to drive much closer to the target in order to strike for sure. "The closer, the more accurate. And we are trying to get closer, quickly work out the target and roll back," explained the commander of the combat vehicle with the call sign "Koshchey".

According to our gunners, the enemy has been returning fire less and less recently. In their opinion, this is due to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily surrender their positions in the South Donetsk direction, and simply do not have time to take new ones for counter-battery firing.
