DESTRUCTION OF MYSTERY BABYLON ALSO CALLED MERATHAIM

Though Babylon was God's chosen instrument to bring judgment on His people, their haughty enjoyment of that tragedy will bring God's judgment upon them as well. And in the end, God's people will be forgiven and restored. The one who redeems them is strong. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. He will defend them and give them rest (Jeremiah 50:34)

Mystery Babylon is also known as Merathaim (Jeremiah 50:21). Merathaim is a Hebrew word meaning double rebellion AND double bitterness.

Mystery Babylon is a powerful nation that has fortified its lofty strongholds in the sky (Jeremiah 51:53) but it’s strongholds in the sky will be destroyed.

ON the day mystery Babylon is attacked by an alliance of Nations from the North the people of Israel and Judah will go in tears to seek the Lord Their God (Jeremiah 50:3-5). Jewish people will trace their way home in Zion. Is this prove that Israel and Judah will be relying on Merathaim, Mystery Babylon for protection until it is destroyed, The destruction of Mystery Babylon will make Israel and Judah to be helpless and look up to God as their only source of Help.
