"I think that as an artist, you develop a trained eye, and that trained eye opens up the world to you in amazing fashion," Hood says. "Painting enriches my life, and I feel very lucky that I've learned how to reach for it."

Our guest today is #JohnHood who has been an artist all his life. He was trained as an #architect and worked in #SanFrancisco for 40 years. He is dedicated to improving his skills in the art of painting, and keeping realism alive.
