14. A Tale of Two Jonathans

Jonathan Mayhew became the most famous voice to rally the colonies to the cause of independence, even if it meant that rebellion would be necessary. At the same time, the greatest genius in the colonies, Jonathan Edwards, was relieved of his duties at Northampton, and became a schoolteacher to Native American children a few miles away in Stockbridge.
