Ukrainian war amputee fights his way to Paris Paralympic Games

A former Ukrainian paramedic, whose left leg was amputated at the hip after he was wounded while fighting near the eastern city of Bakhmut, qualified for the national sitting volleyball team. Yevhenii Korinets spoke to Reuters of his desire to win a medal while training with fellow athletes ahead of the Paralympics in Paris which opened on Wednesday (August 28).
