BJJ Black Belt Test Demonstration with Instructor Tarl Reynoso.

Our Black Belt Tests have 3 Sections:
1. Self Defense
2. Sport Jiu Jitsu
3. Judo Throws

Instructor Tarl received his black belt prior to this video. He was awarded his black belt without a test, but he had been preparing for this specific test for years. So we decided to give him a test anyways! Additionally, we wanted our students to see a black belt test in order to know what the goal / standard is to shoot for. It kept Tarl focused for years and we hope it keeps our students focused on their knowledge and skill acquisition as well.

This is by no means the extent of techniques a black belt is expected to know, but this is a best attempt to condense 12 years of training into one night. By calling out different techniques to either teach or demonstrate, the tester must be prepared for anything. The execution doesn't need to be perfect, but it ought to be damn good as a whole.
