A bombshell report from French newspaper Le Canard Enchaine claims President Emmanuel Macron TRICKED Telegram CEO Pavel Durov into visiting France with a dinner invite, only to have him arrested.

What an a**hole.

Durov was arrested at Le Bourget airport and now faces up to 20 years in prison on charges of enabling child se𝕏ual abuse material, drug trafficking, fraud, and organized crime.

Macron insists the arrest was not politically motivated and that France "supports freedom of speech," but this claim falls flat when the arrest timing coincides with a supposed meeting with Macron.

Florian Philippot of Les Patriots Party says this was “deliberate deception,” accusing Macron of a calculated move to imprison those who defend free expression.

The president's office denies it all, but Durov now faces up to 20 years in prison, possible house arrest, and a travel ban.
