Lego is on track to replace all oil-based plastics in its bricks with renewable materials by 2032, despite a significant increase in manufacturing costs.

The switch to certified renewable resin, which is 70% more expensive than traditional plastics, reflects Lego’s commitment to sustainability.

Over the past eight years, Lego has tested over 600 alternative materials and is investing $1.4 billion in sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon emissions by 37% by 2032, Fox Business has reported.
