Christopher Phillips has devoted his life to fomenting civil discourse, and of a kind that enables the most diverse people to discover uncommon common ground and become far more involved in the civic sphere as a result. Dr. Phillips has been Network Fellow at Harvard University‘s Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, was 2012 recipient of the Distinguished American Leadership Award, and founded the nonprofit Democracy. He is co-founder of the entrepreneurial endeavor Socrates Group, the first ever Senior Education Fellow at the National Constitution Center and has been senior writing and research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.
