HORSES IN PORTUGAL! A new video.

The elements of this show was were recorded almost two years ago. I never finished producing a video out of them because the needed materials like proper music and a good opener just were either not available or had not been selected.

Recently, I came across “prancing music” that added to the antics of the horses. I picked an opening slide and proceeded to put things together. It was quite a formidable task to make it all work, but the finished product is very enjoyable viewing. I figure that all totaled, there is about five hours of effort involved. It is harder to produce a “vertical” format video than a horizontal one because the picture area is not as large. No matter, it all worked eventually!

The scene was an arena used for exercising horses in rural Portugal, near where I stayed for a month. The horses were in a secluded area behind some greenery that looked like bamboo. I had to part the greenery to view the horses being themselves without them knowing I was there. Retaining my balance and shooting on a slope at the same time made for quite the effort! The trainer was nowhere to be seen., either. That way the animals found their own fun, games and exercise! Two of them played with a huge ball, pushing and carrying the ball around. A large mirror at the end of the arena allowed the horses to see themselves! The third was too proud to do that. It pranced around looking royal and important, eventually blessing me by “kicking up his heels!” It provided a fine “screen-capture” for the ending.
