Director of National Intelligence Speaks at Security Summit

Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines spoke at an intelligence and national security summit in Rockville, Maryland, outside of Washington, DC. She discussed her role as the head of the Intelligence Community (IC) and how the Office of the Director of National Intelligence evolved over the decades since its establishment during the Global War on Terrorism. As director of national intelligence, Ms. Haines and her office are responsible for integrating information collected from the IC and producing the top-secret President’s Daily Brief. She also touched upon the IC’s collaborations with the private sector and investments in new technologies. This event was co-hosted by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
