Gale force winds in Riebeeck Kastee

Riebeeck Kasteel, a historic town in the Western Cape, experienced severe weather conditions today as gale force winds swept through the area, leading to widespread uprooting of trees and disruption across the town. According to Weather SA, wind speeds in the Cape Town region peaked at 120 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 140 km/h in some areas.

Winds blew a large metal gate off its rails earlier today.
