DRIVER ROLLS PICKUP MULTIPLE TIMES, WALKS AWAY, PROVIDENCE TEXAS, 08/27/24

Driver Rolls Pickup, Walks Away, PROVIDENCE, August 27, 2024 - At approximately 7 am on August 27, 2024, the driver of a silver 2019 Chevy Z71 pickup was north-bound on US-146. According to the driver, a vehicle in front of her came to an abrupt stop. She swerved right to avoid striking the vehicle, left the pavement to the right, jumped a culvert and rolled multiple times coming to rest upright. She climbed out of her vehicle and was, by all appearances okay. She was wearing her seatbelt and her airbags deployed. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office including Detective Adrian Ontiveros, Corporal Keegan Newman, and Deputy Tobias Martinez showed up to assist and hold the scene until a State Trooper arrived. Her vehicle was recovered by Pop's Wrecker Service out of Livingston.
