Join me on my first day in New Delhi, India! Right after I arrived, I asked a few local guys for directions to my hotel. It took a while, but I finally found it. But when I checked in and saw my room, I was shocked! The toilet was really different, and I didn’t have a regular shower. Instead, I had to use a bowl to bathe. After feeling upset about it, I decided to explore the streets of New Delhi.

While walking, I met a guy from Paraguay who warned me to be careful about what I eat because he got food poisoning. I kept walking through the busy streets, packed with tuk-tuks and food vendors, when I met two guys on a scooter. I asked if they could give me a ride to the end of the road, and they kindly agreed. After the scooter ride, I needed to buy shoes since it was raining and the streets were dirty.

The first shop I found was selling dress shoes, so I kept looking until I found a shop with the right kind of shoes. I bought a nice pair for 500 rupees. I wanted to take my old shoes back to the hotel, but I got lost. While wandering around, I asked an elderly man for directions, and he invited me into his home for tea. I couldn’t say no, so I joined him. He was very kind, offering me tea and biscuits, and I got to meet his daughter.Afterward, I took a tuk-tuk back to my hotel to drop off my things. Then I went back out to explore more.

I found myself on a big road filled with cows, fruit vendors, and busy people. Two kids asked me for money, so I gave them some, and then I bought two bananas. A homeless man asked me for one, so I shared my banana with him. As I continued walking, I heard music and saw people doing prayers.I ended up on the busiest street in Delhi, completely surrounded by people. Feeling a bit lost, I spotted a McDonald’s and decided to grab a meal there. After eating, I realized I needed a SIM card with internet. While waiting to get my SIM, an Indian guy approached me, claiming to be the fastest grammar expert in the world.
He even showed me his Guinness World Record on Google – it was unbelievable!
