Critical Legal Studies -- Law as Power (Episode 10)

In this video, I look at a jurisprudential school that emerged out of Havard University in the late 1970, Critical Legal Studies or CLS. As the name suggests, it has close kinship with other progressive/Marxist schools like Critical Race Theory and Feminist Legal Studies, and is just as socially destructure, with roots in materialism and progressivism. I look at the close ties to Marxist legal theory, to Legal Realism but also even closer ties to radical liberal egalitarianism, manifest in Woke cultures. Although CLS set out to deconstruct the oppressive power structures holding the workers, women and races down, it failed to note the progressive takeover of culture, institutions and the law. As such, CLS's description of how the law is really about power, politics and control, although meant as a warning, has turned into an instruction manual in the hands of our new progressive elites.
