A Thousand Hallelujahs - Worship with Flags

My favorite way to engage in worship, either in my personal devotional time or in a gathering, is to begin with prayer, asking Jesus Christ to wash my sins with His blood so I can stand before the throne of God pure and surrender all my troubles to Him so I can focus only on Him during worship. When I listen to worship songs, it's the melody and words I put into my heart and process deeply. Every word of the song I proclaim through my mouth and body in truth from the depths of my heart and spirit. I leave an open door for the Holy Spirit to come and move freely around the people, touching them with healing, deliverance, and encouragement. We can use all the right techniques and methods, and we can have the best possible liturgy, but we have not worshiped the Lord until Spirit touches Spirit. Singing, praying, and praising may all lead to worship, but worship is more than any of them. Our spirit must be ignited by divine fire.
