Monday with Terror in Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia is an independent survival horror game developed and published by Kinetic Games. The game was made available for early access through Steam for Microsoft Windows in September 2020, along with support for virtual reality. The game received a large influx of popularity the following month due to many well-known streamers and YouTubers playing it, particularly around the Halloween season. As of October 15, 2020, the game is the sixth most popular game on Twitch and the best-selling game on Steam globally.

Gameplay

The player takes control of one member of a group of up to four players, in the role of ghost-hunting urban explorers, who are hired to deal with ghosts inhabiting different abandoned facilities such as houses, schools, prisons and hospitals. The game features 24 different varieties of ghosts, each of which behaves in different ways. The types of ghosts are: Banshee, Demon, Deogen, Goryo, Hantu, Jinn, Mare, Moroi, Myling, Obake, Oni, Onryo, Phantom, Poltergeist, Raiju, Revenant, Shade, Spirit, Thaye, The Mimic , The Twins, Wraith, Yokai and Yurei. To find out what kind of ghost they encountered, players must collect evidence about the ghost. The ultimate goal of the game is not to defeat the ghosts, but to collect enough information about them, while at the end of each mission, players get paid. Players communicate via voice chat, which the ghost itself hears and reacts to. Players can use different equipment to help with their mission, such as UV flashlights, thermometers, EMF readers, CCTV cameras, crucifixes, and Ouija boards. These tools can be used for various means, such as communication, investigation, protection and clue collection.
