Israeli Ultimate Frisbee team BOOTED from international championship

The Israeli youth Ultimate Frisbee teams were banned from competing in a major championship in Belgium in early August.

Two Israeli teams traveled from Israel for the competition and arrived in Belgium on August 5. They were set to compete in the Under 17 European Youth Ultimate Championship. The organizers of the tournament, the European Ultimate Federation, had already expressed concern over pro-Palestine protests. These security concerns led to an agreement for the Israeli team to compete on another field about 25 minutes south that was seen as safer. But early Tuesday morning, August 6, the field complex where the Israeli team was supposed to compete was vandalized with red paint and antisemitic graffiti.
