Excitement filled the air at Zimasa Community School in Langa on Friday August 23 as teachers and Grade 1 learners received the innovative MiDesk—a school backpack that transforms into a desk and chair, complete with a USB charger and solar light. This design ensures students have a dedicated space for studying both at home and school.

Talita Boodhram, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at MiDesk Global, shared that the inspiration for MiDesk began when she was just 16 years old, watching news stories of learners studying under trees. Her vision turned into a reality that’s now making a difference in students’ lives
