Kim Jong-un supervises exploding drone test

Kim Jong-un has overseen a test of exploding kamikaze drones, according to state media outlet KCNA. The test, which was reportedly carried out on Saturday, involved drones crashing into and destroying a target, and comes as US and South Korean militaries conduct a large-scale exercise in the area, apparently to defend against threats from Pyongyang.

According to the KCNA report, Kim pledged to spur development of the drones and similar weapons to boost the DPRK’s military’s war readiness.
