Dr. Stabell goes on to explain how exchanging a lower a covid infection for a lower respiratory infection like Bronchitis or Pneumonia "is not a good trade off" because Covid is basically harmless to children.

Pneumonia is the most common cause of death in children under age 5 around the world, killing an estimated 16 out of 100 children every year according to the American Thoracic Society.
