Discernment in Speech and Judgment. Proverbs 18 is a chapter in the book of Proverbs part of the Holy Bible. This chapter contains many wise sayings attributed to Solomon. The chapter's first nine statements focus on the need for discernment in speech and judgment. The chapter also includes themes such as:
Arrogance and closed-mindedness
Unwise speech and failure to be open-minded and diligent can lead to serious consequences. For example, Proverbs 18:13 says, "To answer before listening—that is folly and shame".
Pride and catastrophe
Proverbs 18:2 says, "A fool may pretend to understanding, and to seek and intermeddle with the means of it, but he has no true delight in it".
The value of a godly spouse
The intimate loyalty of a good friend
Proverbs 18:24 says, "A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother".
The power of the tongue
Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit".

I pray you learn something from Proverbs 18 that will help and bless your life.
Blessings
