IT’S NOT A COMPETITION

IT’S ABOUT SERVING JESUS!!! GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY FRIENDS!!!
There was something about this morning's scripture, that not only challenged my heart, but it did something else, that I'm giving to the Lord right now. It stirred a lot of memories of my past within the IFB, that I have put under the blood of Jesus, and I pray that I never see them done again or that I don't repeat them. These questions from this morning's devotional really spoke to my heart on this, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions carefully, and I pray that God will speak to your heart through them too.

When have you experienced unhealthy competition, and what was it like?

I experienced unhealthy competition within the IFB through their “sword drills”, the Bible memorization contests, and their competition to get some type of Christian Girl Scout badge. A lot of the stuff that I experienced, was often very humiliating, especially since I was striving to really learn God's word. It gave me a head knowledge, more than a heart knowledge of God's word, and I praise God that when I got to Philadelphia College of Bible, that I was able to really learn God's word.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things I learned from God's word on what it means to have coworkers in Christ, and not competitors, through this vlog I’d like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you on this, will hopefully alert your heart to this issue. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends comment and learn for yourself that the Christian life is not any kind of competition, but it's about serving Jesus pure and simple! 😊

So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that it helps you to see all the points that I'm trying to make tonight, and that you'll live them out.

How does Jesus help you humbly serve others?

I think it starts by remembering that it's not about you, a denomination, a person, or even a translation of scripture, but it's about serving Jesus Christ! That we treat our brothers and sisters in Christ as just that, brothers and sisters. Not competition to be abolished or destroyed. We need to remember guys, that we're part of the same family of God, and that we are that one body but many parts comment we want to make sure that we are following the Bible, not a denomination, not a human being, or even a translation of scripture. We need to remember guys that we are coworkers, not competitors, and treat each other as such. Because as I stated to begin with, this isn't about any competition, but it's about serving Jesus!
