Sally Field is back on social media, and she has Kamala Harris to thank for it.

The Oscar-winning actress recently made a return to Instagram, announcing her comeback with two posts centered around Harris’ presidential run alongside Tim Walz as her vice-presidential nominee.

Field explained her hiatus from social media in a heartfelt post, revealing that she had stepped away after it became what she described as “public toilet paper” during the tenure of the former president. However, she felt compelled to return now that “hope is making a comeback.” The post featured a carousel of photos of Field with her dog, Dash, accompanied by the caption: “So here I am.”

The following day, Field shared another photo of herself in front of a TV screen displaying the Democratic National Convention. “Hope is here,” she wrote, adding that she was watching with her 18-year-old grandson, who had just registered to vote. Field’s passion was clear as she urged everyone to vote, emphasizing the importance of doing so for the future of their country, children, grandchildren, the earth, women’s rights, human rights, and democracy itself.
