A Texas border area sheriff who gave a ringing endorsement of Kamala Harris at this year’s DNC was actually not that long ago a severe critic of the Biden/Harris border policy. On stage Sheriff Javier Salazar of Bexar County, Texas showered praise on Harris for prosecuting Mexican scofflaws. But in 2022 Salazar was singing a very different tune, and demanding better border enforcement from the administration.
